Android does not come with much font-wise for customizing your documents and photos, even though the very apps you use for editing them often have provisions for choosing a font to use. You can find apps all over Google Play that will allow you to add fonts to Android, of course only if you use their app on your Android device. The thing is you don't need a specialized app. You can just add fonts to your internal storage, or for that matter an external SD card and tell the program you are using to look in that folder.
I have put together some collections of fonts you can use. These are all fonts free for personal and commercial use. You'll see some text files in the collection too; these are just the eulas and licenses that came with some of the fonts and I'm required to keep them with the fonts to distribute them.
Just download the zip file and uncompress it. The fonts are already in a folder. The first collection has the folder named 'sxfonts'. Unzipping it will deposit the folder of fonts in the folder you have selected. Don't forget where you put it because you'll need to tell the program you're using where it is.
This starter collection has 14 fonts in it. These are just the regular typefaces, no bold or italic typefaces. I have collected together fonts that are similar to Times New Roman and Arial, as those belong to Microsoft, as well an assortment of fun and functional fonts.
Attention: Some browser apps for Android may download a zip file as a bunch of letters and numbers and as a .bin file. If this happens to you, just rename the respective file, .bin extension and all, to sxfonts.zip or Fonts.zip; then you can unzip it.

The first addon package is a collection of 15 horror themed fonts. I wanted to expand on this separately as more stylish fonts are usually larger files, if they include an extensive character set. I've not selected too heavy of fonts as the more and bigger fonts you put on your system (computer or smartphone) slows it down. Horror fonts, like horror movies, are notoriously duplicitous. I have weeded out fonts that are too close to each other while trying to give you as much variety as possible.

The second addon package is a collection of high style retro fonts. From Broadway to Sunset Strip. Swanky, debonnaire and even gaudy. These are the looks of the names on signs, grand hotels, marquees and expensive cars. Reminiscent of the 1930s to the 1960s. This collection has 14 fonts.

I have put together a baker's dozen of fonts for the third addon package. A miscellany of 13 fonts from retro to futuristic and grunge to classy.

The fourth addon package is a collection of 13 sci-fi and grunge fonts, and even a medical and mystery themed font. The Lifeline font contains no numbers and I usually don't include fonts without numbers, but it is one of a kind and may be useful.

I also have put together a larger collection of 108 fonts. It includes Red Hat's Liberation font sets that are basically the Linux alternatives to Microsoft's Times New Roman, Arial and Courier fonts. There are comic and gothic and horror fonts, and more. I'm not going to post pics as it would take 8 of them to show the contents. They are already zipped into a folder called 'Fonts'. Just unzip them where you want to put them on your Android device and point your programs to that folder to use them. If there are some fonts you don't want just delete them.
